Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. You must not make any booking unless you understand and agree with the following terms and conditions..
These terms and conditions apply to bookings you make with our consultants (in-store, over phone or by email).
We will rely on the authority of the person making the booking to act on behalf of any other traveller on the booking and that person will bind all such travellers to these terms and conditions.
Please check names and services booked on the itinerary are correct. Also, due to possible schedule changes by the airline, it is important to check departure times, and check-in times when reconfirming flights and on the day of departure. Please note that not all airfares include checked luggage – surcharges may apply.
PAYMENTS – Direct deposit and Cheque payments cannot be used for instant purchase rates and must be made prior to the invoice due date to allow sufficient processing time for funds to clear into our account.
Direct Deposit – Best4Travel BSB: 086-006 Account: 33-019-7248. Use your surname as the reference.
Cheque – Make payable to Best4Travel.
Credit Card – Master/Visa cards incur a 1.5% Fee. Amex/Dinners cards incur a 3% fee.
Cash & EFTPOS – Accepted in store.
ITINERARY CHANGES – Once deposit or full payment has been made any amendments to your itinerary will incur fees from suppliers and Best 4 Travel. Some services booked may be fully non-refundable and non-changeable. As fees do vary between suppliers please ask your consultant for further details relating to your booked itinerary.
COSTING – Please note all prices are subject to change without warning and cannot be guaranteed until paid in full and tickets have been issued by the supplier. Deposits are non-refundable. Many airline tickets and other travel arrangements are fully non-refundable, so Travel Insurance is highly recommended. Prices include GST (where GST applies) unless otherwise stated.
CANCELLATIONS – All deposits are non-refundable. Certain services are instant purchase at the time of booking and are non-refundable. Once final payment has been paid cancellation fees will increase the closer cancellation is made to departure date. Cancellation fees will be charged by both the suppliers and Best 4 Travel. The cancellation fees vary on each holiday, so please discuss the cancellation fees with your travel consultant at the time of booking. Refunds may be in the form of a credit for future travel from the supplier &/or Best4Travel. Best4Travel commission is non-refundable and additional cancellation charges may be applied by Best4Travel.
Supplier Change and Cancellation Fees- Cancelled bookings may also incur supplier fees, which can be up to 100% of the cost of the booking, regardless of whether travel has commenced. Supplier fees may also apply where a booking is changed and when tickets or documents are re-issued. Where we incur any liability for a supplier cancellation fee for any booking which you change or cancel, you agree to indemnify us for the amount of that fee. Where you seek a refund for a cancelled booking for which payment has been made to the supplier, we will not provide a refund to you until we receive the funds from that supplier (which may take up to 16 weeks dependent upon the supplier processing time).
SUPPLIERS – We act as an agent for, and sell various travel related products as an agent on behalf of, numerous transport, accommodation and other service providers, such as airlines, coach, rail and cruise line operators, as well as all of our wholesalers. Any services we provide to you are collateral to that agency relationship. Our obligation to you is to (and you expressly authorise us to) make travel bookings on your behalf and to arrange relevant contracts between you and travel service providers. We exercise care in the selection of reputable service providers, but we are not ourselves a provider of travel services and have no control over, or liability for, the services provided by third parties. All bookings are made on your behalf subject to the terms and conditions, including conditions of carriage and limitations of liability, imposed by these service providers. We can provide you with copies of the relevant service provider terms and conditions on request. Your legal rights in connection with the provision of travel services are against the specific provider and, except to the extent a problem is caused by fault on our part, are not against us. Specifically, if for any reason (excluding fault on our part) any travel service provider is unable to provide the services for which you have contracted, your rights are against that provider and not against us.
PASSPORTS – A valid passport is required for all international travel and most countries require your passport to be valid for six (6) months beyond the last date of your visit. The ultimate responsibility for valid passports lies with the travellers.
NAMES – You MUST check names on the itinerary match your passport otherwise strict fees will apply if corrections need to be made. Do not use nicknames, known by names or abbreviated names. Airlines, Cruise companies, Tour operators and Best4Travel will charge fees for any change of name once the reservation is confirmed and deposits paid. We will require a copy of your passport at time of booking.
VISAS – Certain countries require Australian passport holders to apply for a visa. It is YOUR responsibility to obtain any necessary visa or other documentation required. We DO NOT take responsibility for any failure to obtain the correct documentation for the destination you are travelling to.
FREQUENT FLYER MEMBERS – Please advise your membership number to your consultant, show your card to airline check-in staff, and retain your boarding passes along with a copy of your tickets. Please be aware that not all airfares accrue frequent flyer points, this is subject to the airfare purchased.
TRAVEL INSURANCE – We strongly recommend you take out travel insurance as it is vital for your protection against high medical costs overseas, cancellation fees, theft and/or loss of luggage, together with a number of other risks. If the travel insurance policy is purchased elsewhere and not from our store, if any documentation is required a service fee will apply to produce this.
Special Requirements– Please liaise with your consultant or, for online bookings, call 08 9203 7555, regarding any special requirements you may have for your travel arrangements such as special meal and seating requests, room type or disabled access.
Travel Advice – We recommend that you contact the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade or visit their website at www.smartraveller.gov.au for general travel advice, as well as specific advice (including safety alert levels) relating to the destination you wish to visit. You can also register your travel plans with DFAT, so that you may be more easily contacted in an emergency.
Health – You must ensure that you are aware of any health requirements and recommended precautions relevant to your travel and ensure that you carry all necessary vaccination documentation. In some cases, failure to present required vaccination documentation (e.g. proof of Yellow Fever vaccination) may deny you entry into a country. We recommend that you consult with your local doctor, travel medical service or specialist vaccination clinic before commencing your travel. General health advice for the destination you wish to visit is also available from DFAT (see smarttraveller.gov.au).
LIABILITY – To the extent permitted by law, neither Best 4 Travel, directors or employees accept any liability in contract, tort or otherwise for any injury, damage, loss (including consequential loss), delay, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of third party providers over whom we have no direct control, force majeure or any other event which is beyond our control or which is not preventable by reasonable diligence on our part.
You understand by making payment, you are accepting the above Terms and Conditions and have checked all the details on your itinerary and statement of account are correct.
